Pipeline Access Initiative
YEA!’s Pipeline Access Initiative is designed to bridge the access gap by providing education, production and mentorship opportunities for creatives whose experiences and viewpoints are under-represented, or misrepresented, in Hollywood.
The initiative is rooted in the belief that bolstering the careers, voices and economic standing folk in WOC, female, queer, trans and non-binary communities is the only way to break the industry’s systemic opportunity gap and ultimately change global culture.
The 9-month program will launch in February 2021 with a day of workshops focused on strategies for pitching both oneself and one’s project. This will be followed by an open application period for our Social Impact Pitch Fest, where 20 writers/filmmakers will be invited to present their idea for a short social impact film. The Initiative will conclude with the Pipeline Ambassadors program, a select group of reps and executives across Hollywood who agree to read and meet with writers based on a selection of samples hand-curated by the Pipeline Committee.
This initiative is supported by The Roddenberry Foundation
